Texas Catholic Letters

Mr. Neil O’Laughlin
Dallas, Texas

Dear Neil,

Thank you for your underwriting support for The Catholic Foundation 2009 Advisor Series for Estate and Wealth Management Professionals at the Belo Mansion on December 8 which will begin with a breakfast at 7:30 am. We are very happy that Professor Jeffery Pennell, a nationally recognized expert in estate planning, will be our speaker again this year. You may remember he spoke to a sold-out audience at our 2007 seminar, so he is back by popular demand. His topic this year will be multi-faceted as he covers what is currently unfolding in the estate planning field.

As in prior years, The Catholic Foundation is committed to bringing into the North Texas professional community of estate planning professionals the very best speaker we can obtain.  Professor Pennell fulfills that commitment very well. As in prior years, we expect another sold-out audience comprised of the very best professionals in our community. We believe it is important to have such speakers because the Foundation is continually interfacing with the estate planning community as they work with our benefactors to prepare their estate plans. The expert planning advice our benefactors receive enables them to accomplish their charitable and estate planning goals and allows the Foundation to be more effective in carrying out our mission.

Neil, thank you again for helping The Catholic Foundation present an excellent speaker and program. There are a few $75 tickets still available. As you know, the seminar awards 2 hours of CLE for lawyers and 2 hours of continuing education for CPA’s and CFP’s.

See you on December 8 and Happy Thanksgiving.

Very truly yours,

Edwin M. Schaffler
President and Chief Executive Officer
