Mrs. Ann Letteer
Executive Director
The Pines Catholic Camp
Richardson, Texas
Dear Ann,
Everyone who knows me knows that I believe that birthdays are the best and should be celebrated for as long as possible. So, I want to say Happy Birthday to the Pines Catholic Camp again on its twentieth birthday. The camp’s founders must be very proud of the progress made by the camp that has served over 90,000 Catholic campers and school children.
The celebration at The Frontiers of Flight Museum was an enjoyable evening that made us all campers for the evening. The guest performance of Doug Brummel had the audience laughing and remembering school days in Catholic school, but was also very profound in the way he brought the teachings of our faith into his act. Then to have us experience a bit of “Teen Week” from the camp was a great finish to the evening. I am sure that none of us thought we would be singing camp songs when we came that evening, but I am confident we all enjoyed the fun. The audience could not have had a better example of the impact the camp has on the Catholic faith of its campers.
Thank you for the recognition you gave to The Catholic Foundation during the evening. We are glad that we have been a part of the twenty years of successful camping and know that our recent grant to assist with a master plan for the future of the camp will be put to good use and impact the lives of many future campers.Sincerely,
Edwin M. Schaffler
President and Chief Executive Officer
