Mrs. Nancy Poinsatte
Dallas, Texas

Dear Nancy,

It was easy to see your excitement as the new science lab at St. Monica’s was dedicated. While I know that many parishioners helped make the lab a reality, you were the catalyst that made it happen. Your commitment to teaching the sciences in a Catholic school environment was quite apparent in the remarks you made to all of us gathered for the dedication.

As you led us on a tour of the new labs your deep involvement was self evident. You knew every nook and cranny of the lab as you described the drain to safely dispose of liquids, the venting system for fumes, the low maintenance hospital type flooring and the many shiny new lab tables and accessories. The science classes of St. Monica’s will benefit students for many years to come. I suspect we may have a few scientists, physicians and engineers get their start in the new lab.

The Catholic Foundation is pleased to have provided a grant to assist the project and we were happy to learn that an anonymous family had come forward with a matching grant to help fully fund the project. I feel certain that our many benefactors would be happy to know that they have been a part of such a successful undertaking that will impact the students of St. Monica School for many years.

Congratulations to you and everyone at St. Monica’s who helped make the new science labs a reality.

Sincerely,

Edwin M. Schaffler
President and Chief Executive Officer
