Mrs. Rita DeLeon
St. Mary of Carmel School
Dallas, TX
Dear Rita:
Thank you for helping The Catholic Foundation with our Spring Grant Presentation at St. Mary of Carmel recently. The hospitality extended by you, Principal Thom Suhy, representatives of the student government and Father Jesus made the event extra special for all who attended.
As we listened to how the grants were to be used throughout our Diocese, it drove home the role the Foundation plays in assisting with important missions. While much is said about the work being done by the grant recipients, we hope everyone recognizes that none of the grants would be possible without the help of our benefactors. The Foundation continues to need support so that we can remain an important source of financial assistance throughout our community for years to come.
We appreciated the opportunity to see St. Mary of Carmel School, parish and community center firsthand. Many of the improvements there are not only a reflection of a supportive parish but also a tangible example of grant making by The Catholic Foundation. Most recently the Foundation helped fix the leaky roof and purchase school textbooks, but in the past, we helped improve technology, add classroom space and build the beautiful community center. The Catholic Foundation could not do any of the work without the support of our community.
Thank you again for helping The Catholic Foundation put its best foot forward in showing the results of the generosity of our many supporters. We look forward to a return to St. Mary of Carmel.
Very truly yours,
Edwin M. Schaffler
