Rev. Salvador Guzman
Our Lady of Perpetual help
Dallas, Texas
Dear Father Guzman,
In a time when there seems to be more bad news than good, it was a pleasure to visit your parish and see how many really good things are happening there under your leadership. The community partnerships at Our Lady of Perpetual Help have resulted in many improvements to the church and school.
Principal Dan Quill recently gave me a tour of the church and school. It was easy to see the many donated improvements ranging from the new flooring in the church to the two portable classroom buildings that will bring welcome relief to the school, which is near full enrollment. I especially enjoyed the tulips and pansies in the new gardens around the school that were prepared by the students of John Paul II High School as a community project.
Mr. Quill was also careful to point out the leveled floors and improved drainage made possible by a Catholic Foundation grant. When all of these things are put together, your parishioners and students are beneficiaries of your leadership, which has brought many generous people together to make Our Lady of Perpetual Help a better place for all to enjoy.
At The Catholic Foundation, we have similar goals to those who have helped your parish. We offer individuals many different ways to improve our community through the Foundation from gifts through wills to charitable trusts to annuities to outright cash donations. All will have a positive impact throughout the Dallas Diocese just as your supporters have had at your parish. Congratulations and keep up the great work!
Very truly yours,
